Expat Housing in The Hague

about us

Thank you for viewing our apartments! We love living and working in the Hague and hope that we can help you do the same by providing a nice place to live and by sharing information that will give you a soft landing in the Netherlands.

We started renting out the two independent spaces at the fourth floor of our home in the Sweelinckstraat, because our family and friends only stayed over incidentally. It turned out to be something we enjoy a lot, because it allows us to meet interesting people and it also provides additional family income.

Sebastian works in IT and really loves restoring buildings from around 1850 to 1900. He is also a lamp and design furniture freak. Jobien was a diplomat for 18 years and now works at Brainy Bunch, a company that helps non-profits change the world, one online meeting at a time. Together we have two children of school going age.

We were looking for a suitable building in Duinoord to invest in. When two apartments came available at the Groot Hertoginnelaan 223 we decided to go for it. A bit later, Sebastians brother Juriaan joined in with his wife Robine and bought the ground floor apartment.

We are proud that there are five Hekking Apartments for expats who need a home in the Hague. Please, let us know if you are interested in living in one. We are looking forward to getting to know you.
